BBC7 Goes Live

The BBC’s newest digital radio station, BBC7, went live on Sunday night, billed as “unadulterated entertainment radio”. It’s available on the three major digital TV platforms (Freeview – ch 78, KIT – ch 94, ntl:home digital – ch 866, Sky Digital – ch 922 & Telewest Broadband digital – ch 910) as well as through DAB and online. The channel is available on the following digital TV services.

EMAP to drop Pepsi Chart in Favour of Smash Hits

UK – EMAP has announced its FM radio stations are to drop the Pepsi Chart. Instead the companies’ radio stations will broadcast a brand new Smash Hits Chart Show presented by former Radio 1 host Mark Goodier. The show will launch on January 5. (Ananova)
